What becomes a gossip columnist most?

    By Michael Musto

There are plenty of professional performance spaces in this city, but does every dance have to be on a rectangular stage, and every piece of art on a white gallery wall? In “All Is Well,” a work in progress, visual artist Cameron Sands enlisted the services of dancer Paola Georgudis to see whether “art” can happen in a more undefined space, on a street corner, say, or under a tree. The two traveled around the city to outdoor locations like Rice University, Allen Parkway and Hermann Park to test their theory that when it comes to creativity, the space is arbitrary. Tonight, Sands presents a preview of their work-in-progress, “All Is Well,” a series of mixed-media art pieces and video. Georgudis, a dancer with the Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, will join him to demonstrate that every space has creative potential.
