If you’re a rock fan, you know there’s not a lot going on this weekend. But Dignan will likely satisfy all your needs at The Proletariat’s Labor Day Show. The McAllen sextet combines the tranquility of Brit rockers such as Ed Harcourt with the heavier sound of post-hardcore groups like Braid. Songs such as “They’re Outnumbered” pair bright pianos with guitars, layered against steady beats and vocalist Andy Peña’s crooning and screaming. Come and see the group kick off its national tour today after Houston’s Buxton, Hollywood Black and Church of Philadelphia.
Sun., Sept. 2, 8 p.m.
