Twas the Night Before Hip-Hop
Make like a sugar plum vision and dance
By Dusti Rhodes
Published: December 20, 2007There will plenty of stirring happening all through the house at Twas the Night before Hip Hop 2. B-Boy Craig Long and DJMadSounds will be spinning hip-hop from the old and new schools on the ones and twos, along with special guest Ceeplus Bad Knives. The night will also feature a performance by Dee-Rail, the local emcee who takes his cue from other H-Towners such as Devin the Dude and his Coughee Brothaz with laid-back rhythms that still keep things bouncin. Houston hip-hop darling Karina Nistal, who recently returned from entertaining the troops in Iraq, will be on hand to host the party, which is sure to have you shaking it faster than a dancing sugar plum. 9 p.m. The G.R.A.B., 809 Pierce. For information, call 713-655-0707 or visit www.myspace.com/tha_scenario. $5; ladies free before 11 p.m.
Fri., Dec. 21, 9 p.m., 2007
